September
last year my husband and I took my mother in law on a trip to Paris. Going
there was something she had dreamed about for a long time.
We
bought a 2-day ticket on a sightseeing bus, Hop on – Hop off, which was a
perfect way to explore the city.
A lot of
pictures were taken and most of them ended up in my Project Life album. But I
wanted to document the route of the bus and the stops we made.
The map
we got from the bus company was so boring.
Then I
found this great paper from October Afternoon. It was a city map over Paris and
includes many of the stops we made. I bought it many years ago and I found it among
the papers, “Good to have”.
Maybe I could
use this and a lot of small pictures to document our trip with the bus.
Then I
ran out of inspiration. I couldn´t decid which color to use and how to make my LO.
So after
several month of non-existing plans this challenge turned up and solved it all.
The colors
were perfect for my grey map.
So here is my contribution to the CSI-challenge #259
And here is case that
I solved:
Three of the colors in the case (powder blue, bright sky blue and medium muted orange) can be found in the words PARIS and Hop on – Hop off. I used 2 different alphabet dies to cut them out.
I draw a "bright sky blue" line to show the bus route. I also used the colors to cut
out arrows to point out the locations and in my journaling and decorations.
I used white acrylic paint on wood weneers and let it dry.
After that colored them with distress ink.
After that colored them with distress ink.
The black and white colors I used as a background for my pictures.
The
evidences are:
- Map
pattern – the background paper
- Speech
bubbles – wood weeners I painted white, bright sky blue and medium muted orange.
- Transportation
- the whole layout is about transportation
- Solid
white background – on the pictures
The
testimony is:
- Topic:
Document a trip, vacation, getaway
Best regards Marit
